Conferences and Events
PLMA hosts two national conferences annually that include three days of peer-selected sessions and robust networking opportunities. Meetups and other events offer additional ad hoc in-person collaborative learning opportunities.

PLMA’s 1-hour Load Management Dialogue and HOT TOPIC Conversation webinars are scheduled year-round and feature expert speakers, interactive discussions, and audience participation. Podcast recordings are available from wherever you get your podcasts.

COMING IN 2025! A New Content Library
PLMA is currently building a new content library which will launch in 2025, and serve as a searchable repository for webinars and conference session recordings, training materials, publications, glossaries, and more.
In the interim, you may visit the Load Management Resource Center or go to PLMA's YouTube channel and/or to PLMA's "Load Management Dialogues" podcast to access recent recordings.

Training Classes
PLMA’s training classes, hosted both online and in-person, provide introductory and survey-level training for those new to load management, as well as advanced classes in wholesale markets and program design & implementation.

An Annual Awards Program
Each Spring, PLMA invites nominations for awards that laud industry leaders from the U.S. and globally who develop innovative approaches, programs, and technologies to manage energy loads and support the successful grid integration of DERs.

Volunteer & Leadership Opportunities
For those looking to get more involved in the energy industry and build their leadership skills, PLMA provides multiple opportunities to serve as a co-chair, score conference abstracts, evaluate award nominations, join a taskforce, and more.

To access certain content pages or register for events, you will need a PLMA profile with a username and password.

As an industry leader in load management for practitioners, we strive to offer timely programming, training opportunities, and a space for discussion to share expertise in all things demand response, distributed energy resources, DR programs, technologies, and more. Depending on your level of interest, we encourage you to sign up with one of three membership types to best suit your needs.
- You are interested in becoming a new PLMA member and would like to start the process
- You are an existing PLMA member and want to be added to your organization's account
- You are interested in only viewing PLMA content and would like to receive login credentials
Please follow these steps to create your login:

Existing Members - If your organization IS listed in the PLMA Member Directory, choose "I am staff of a PLMA member organization" on the Membership Application to create your free member profile. Your individual member profile username and password allows you to register for PLMA events at discounted member rates, access member-only content, join interest groups, receive email announcements, and other member benefits. Member organizations can have an unlimited number of individual profiles.
- New Members - If your organization is NOT listed in the PLMA Member Directory, choose "Prospect " when you click Membership Application to create a profile. Your individual visitor profile username and password allows you to register for events at member rates, comment on community blogs, and join our email distribution list. Your organization may upgrade to a full membership at any time, and the various member benefits are listed above.
- Login Credentials - If you are only looking to obtain login credentials to view content, choose "Free Visitor Pass: My org. has not yet joined PLMA" when you click Membership Application to create a free visitor profile. Your individual visitor profile username and password will allow you to review content that is open for All Members on the PLMA Load Management Resource Center as well as receive emails from our weekly distribution list. Your organization may upgrade to a full membership at any time, and the various member benefits are listed above.
