Getting to Know You Outside of Work

Where are you located: Pre-COVID, I worked in the TVA office in Chattanooga, TN

Favorite book / author: Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451

Favorite band/ group / artist: I have eclectic musical taste – anything from 16th century choral music to Top 40. Remember that all music was once new!

Favorite foods: Medium rare Pittsburgh-style filet or rib eye steak.

Favorite TV show(s): "Goldbergs," but I'd never turn down an old school re-run of "The Wonder Years"

Favorite movie(s): M. Night Shyamalan's The Village

What do you play / do in your free time: My children keep me very busy during the nights and weekends. Otherwise, I enjoy volunteering at my church and alma mater. I currently serve on the Board of Trustees at the University of the South, my church's vestry, and was recently elected as a Diocesan deputy to our triennial national church General Convention in 2021. Otherwise, you might find me outside riding bikes or hiking with the family or catching up on some Netflix documentaries.

What's your "one thing" that you bring to your work to motivate you? A 2x4 inch brick of sandstone from the quarry that provided the stone used in the buildings at the University of the South. It represents the foundation of education, teamwork, and relationships that have been developed at the university for more than 150 years.
