As a Customer Success Manager specializing in energy efficiency programs, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and success of our clients who participate in our energy efficiency initiatives. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, guiding them through program requirements, and helping them achieve their energy-saving goals. This role requires a combination of customer service skills, project management abilities, and a deep understanding of energy efficiency principles. As part of Bidgely’s revenue organization, you will coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to deliver multi-year, multi-million dollar regulated utility contracts.  You will be responsible for implementing a structured account management plan aimed at expanding our footprint at existing customers through upselling and cross-selling. This plan includes the tracking and presentation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and associated value to internal and external stakeholders.

Position Summary

This position as Director of Electric Transportation is responsible for creating pathways for shaping the company’s emerging transportation electrification programs and business line. The position is responsible for identifying, developing and executing the business development strategy to obtain electric transportation program growth that translates into new revenue growth with utility clients. The focus of responsibility will include existing and new accounts. The role requires a strong understanding of electric vehicles and charging solutions, market barriers; and the ways in which policy makers, utility commissions, utilities and market actors work to overcome these barriers.  This role requires an energy and utility professional that has dynamic sales skills with a demonstrated track record of success. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the company’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for developments in policy, regulatory proceedings and market trends in electric transportation services and support colleagues as Franklin Energy’s market expert
  • Build relationships with industry firms and technology partners for joint bidding opportunities and serve as company representatives in industry associations
  • Clearly convey customer and market needs and trends, leading to new product idea generation and development
  • Represent the company and its electric transportation offerings in the market and engage with policymakers, regulators, utilities, industry groups and others to support utility and public investment in electric vehicles and charging infrastructure
  • Constantly monitor target market, identify new business opportunities, and propose and drive action plans to optimize client market penetration
  • Build, develop and nurture a multi-year pipeline to achieve annual goals/targets for revenue growth and work with good margin of proposal wins.
  • Ensure that the company receives all applicable RFPs for new and potential work, that is relevant to Franklin’s capability and growth strategies, from utilities and other entities such as government agencies in the targeted states.
  • Create strong relationships with new and existing utility accounts TE/EV/EVSE team(s)
  • Build relationships among key decision makers in utilities, state government, and utility commissions
  • Lead and/ co-lead related opportunities through the company’s BD process
  • Contribute significantly to proposal development – leading, supporting, contributing, and/or developing high caliber proposals in collaboration with internal proposal teams and partners.
  • Work closely with industry associations and policy advocates; attend and present at conferences

Work as an Engineer in the Renewables and Energy Efficiency organization, utilizing a broad knowledge of business and energy engineering principles and practices acquired through progressive field and academic experience. Job is to provide engineering support for energy efficiency projects for various energy efficiency programs, with a focus on the energy savings estimates. This includes the technical evaluation of investment grade audits conducted by third parties, the technical evaluation of engineering design documents and energy models for projects, and technical review of projects during and after construction to ensure projects are achieving estimated savings. The position will be responsible for approval of the technical designs and savings estimates of multimillion-dollar projects based on technical resource manuals, and sound energy engineering principles.  Position will also be responsible for reviewing, overseeing, QA/QC of small and mid-sized projects, as well as overseeing models and processes to ensure that projects are cost effective.

Job Responsibilities

  • Interface with PSEG associates, vendors, customers, and outside consultants to assure the program rules and requirements are maintained, the projects are cost effective, and the information needed for management and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Identify, assess, examine, and standardize complex energy savings analysis within the various Commercial & Industrial programs.
  • Utilize a broad knowledge of business and engineering principles and practices, including financial and cost management, acquired through progressive experience.
  • Develop technical documentation and engineering calculators to streamline technical reviews and improve on quality of deliverables.
  • During storm restoration efforts, may be required to perform functions outside of routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
