Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association is seeking a Energy Resources Specialist who wants an exciting work atmosphere and to be a part of a team dedicated to exceptional service.

The Energy Resources Specialist’s primary purpose is to provide exceptional member service by offering expertise and solutions to assist members in meeting their electric energy goals. This position will advise members on services relating to energy use such as but not limited to, energy conservation and efficiency, net metering, community solar, microgrid, energy storage, demand response, on-bill repayment beneficial electrification and other programs and services. Under the guidance of the Energy Resources Director, this position helps drive the success of both existing and new member-facing offerings focused on managing electric energy use.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted Energy Advisor for members inquiring about distributed energy resources and rate options, including individual consultations through the phone, email and in person.
• Educate members on the efficient use of electricity, including conservation, efficiency, and beneficial electrification.
• Assist members with processing and evaluating applications for rebates, DER programs and net metering.
• Verify all distribution generation interconnections follow PVREA interconnection and tariff rates Conduct energy assessments for residential and selected commercial members.
• Administer the ongoing implementation and operation of selected energy efficiency, demand response products, net metering, pilot programs and services, including rebate reconciliation
• Assist with commercial scale DER project development and implementation including microgrids and batteries.
