How Did You Become a Member of PLMA's Leadership Team?

I became involved with PLMA when I was named the ICF PLMA board representative upon joining ICF in March 2015. In my opinion, a key to the industry's flexible load management success is a strong association and I believe PLMA is critical for this.

To become more involved in this success, I ran and was elected to the Executive Committee in 2016. One of my commitments is helping PLMA to continue to be professionally run with strong policies and finances. It is an honor for me to be able to contribute to PLMA and more broadly the industry.

There are so many ways and so I recommend starting with something that strikes your fancy. Do you want to review innovative ideas or help determine worthiness of programs and projects? Then volunteer to score conference abstracts or award submissions. Are you interested in a particular topic or want to get to know someone better? Join an Interest Group. Do you want to help individuals develop? Become a PLMA mentor. Are you interested in numbers or do you want to help PLMA be financially strong? Join the Fiscal Committee.
