Learn about this utility's comprehensive combination of technologies and strategies to achieve demand response through both dynamic prices and direct load control as well as behavioral energy efficiency through web applications and in-home displays. National Grid's Smart Energy Solutions program provides customers smart thermostats, load control devices, web apps, and in-home displays to deliver real-time energy use and compelling messages alongside personal photographs. With CEIVA Energy's software, the utility can segment customers, monitor and control a range of smart energy technologies, enable the smart meter home area network, and access full reporting and analytics. The result is a seamless end-to-end solution for the utility and its customers that integrates a range of technology providers, including Itron, Cisco, GE, Simple Energy, Verizon, and Carrier.

Lisa is a senior analyst and serves as the Demand Response Coordinator for the Smart Energy Solutions Program at National Grid. This program provides approximately 15,000 participating residential and small commercial customers in Worcester, Mass. near-real time energy usage, as well as opportunities to manage their energy usage and reduce their monthly bill. In this role, she is responsible for monitoring the ISO-NE energy markets to identify the need to call peak load events, initiate the necessary events, ensure all communication protocols are followed, monitor the event progression and then analyze and report on the events upon completion. The majority of her 25-year career at National Grid has been in the Energy Efficiency area where has been involved with financial and performance analysis of the energy efficiency programs, program and vendor management, as well as supporting the company’s Demand and Price Response Programs in conjunction with the ISO-NE for large commercial and industrial customers.

Wannie Park serves as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at CEIVA Energy, a smart grid solutions company that helps utilities capitalize on smart meter investments to engage customers, implement demand response programs and comply with regulations. Wannie manages partnerships with utilities, regulators and technology partners to implement CEIVA's integrated ecosystem of hardware, software and creative services for the Home Area Network. Prior to this role, Wannie spent 10 years in corporate development, private equity and consumer electronics.

Raymond A. Pustinger, CEM, CDSM, CSLC is CEO/Principal at AESC. He has been serving commercial, industrial and retail facilities in matters of energy and operations for more than 25 years, including ten years with ABM Industries (NYSE:ABM), ten years as President/CEO of Precision-Paragon, and most recently as President of Enerliance, Inc.

Who Should Attend. Utility and regulatory staff as well as other energy industry trade allies and organizations seeking thought leadership and insight on innovative demand response methods to meet peak energy load needs, mitigate price, and manage variable generation.
