Women in DM 2017 Strategy Meeting

Moderated by Gwen Resendes, Bonneville Power Administration and Robin Maslowski, Navigant

presented Thursday, December 8, 2016, 12:30 - 1:30 pm EST

Thank you for your interest in this Women in Demand Response update.  This was a 1-hour conversation with a few Powerpoint slides.

Join the Women in Demand Management in mapping out our activities and mission for 2017! We want your help in brainstorming the type of content and direction that most benefits you from the group. We'll discuss the suggestions we received through our 2016 survey and Fall Conference feedback, revisit our mission statement, and map out 2017 activities. This is also a great opportunity to get more involved in the group!

What We Did: 2016 Presentation Review

Why are we here? Mission Statement Discussion

  • Currently posted as the Group Description: "This interest group helps to promote leadership roles by encouraging greater visibility, support, and recognition of women in the industry. The group is in the process of defining its mission, objectives, and future opportunities."
  • Is this the right mission statement for Women in Demand Management?
  • If this is our mission statement, should we discuss HOW we encourage visibility, support, and recognition?
  • Should we consider additional purposes for the group?

Where We're Going: Activity Brainstorming

  • What ideas does the group have about what kind of things our group should do to encourage 1) visibility, 2) support, 3) recognition of Women in DM
  • Webinar Ideas (Compile List for Survey Monkey Vote)
  • Meet-Up Ideas (What would you like to see from the next meet-up)

Ideas for the Women in DM Group Page?

  • Using Forums, Blogs, and Messaging
  • Sharing Documents
  • Quarterly Conference Call?
