PLMA’s first HOT TOPIC conversation is scheduled for June 11th (12:30 to 1:00 pm EST), hosted by PLMA’s Global Load Management Interest Group. Our special guest facilitators will lead a conversation with staff of PLMA member organizations that explores how utilities and their hardware suppliers are adapting grid modernization plans and programs as the global supply chain faces disruptions due to COVID-19 as well as a new Executive Order that halts installation of some bulk-power system equipment.

What’s your perspective? What are you most concerned about? How is your business changing to accommodate this new world order? Come and participate, learn, or just listen. You’ll gather key insights and ideas from fellow load management practitioners across the PLMA membership.

About the Global Load Management Interest Group

This PLMA Interest Group convenes practitioners who are interested in the opportunities and lessons that come from sharing load management and energy perspectives from beyond North America; the events, programs, and technologies that ultimately affect us all in different and unanticipated ways. The Global Load Management Interest Group also engages international energy companies and technology providers interested in the work of PLMA.  For more information, or to join this Interest Group, please click here.

Who Should Attend HOT TOPICS?

Staff of PLMA member organizations are welcome to join in any HOT TOPIC conversation.  If you are interested in a topic, please plan to join us! If you are curious about a particular Interest Gropu and would like to better understand its focus and work, please participate. And, if you have colleagues within your organization who you think may find a TOPIC interesting, please invite them to log in too.

If your organization is not yet a PLMA member (see the Member Directory), and you'd like to participate in the HOT TOPICs program and other member opportunities, please consider joining PLMA (view Membership Options). For more information, please contact Rich Philip, Executive Director; or Judy Knight, Chief Development Officer.

How HOT TOPICS Work

HOT TOPICS are all about engaging with fellow PLMA members in short conversations around important current issues affecting dynamic load management, including demand response and distributed energy resources. Tune in for a brief 30 minutes with the PLMA Interest Groups as they host online conversations and chats. Come and participate, learn, or just listen. You’ll gather key insights and ideas from fellow load management practitioners from across the PLMA membership.
