Idaho Power Issues Request for Proposal for Electric Vehicle Demand Response Pilot

Idaho Power Company (“IPC”) is currently seeking proposals in response to this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) from Respondents offering implementation, training, documentation, support services, software and hardware (“Services”) necessary to administer and operate a potential pilot project offered to new and current residential Electric Vehicle (“EV”) owners in Idaho Power’s service area. If determined to be feasible, the proposed Pilot would operate over a two-year duration for approximately 200 EV owners. In year one, participants would be recruited, and data collected on charging habits. In year two, demand response events would be tested with additional data collected. In return for participating, customers would receive some form of credit, such as a bill credit or gift card.

This RFP process will be conducted via Idaho Power’s on-line bidding tool, Power Advocate.
