Save for Tomorrow Energy Plan (“STEP”) Assessment

Description: The STEP program’s purpose was to fund energy efficiency as the lowest cost power available to the community. The goal was to reduce the need for an additional power plant by saving 771 MW of power. The power saved through STEP funding was to be clean and good for the environment and avoid emissions, carbon and greenhouse gases.

Solicitation Detail:

Section 4 of the ordinance requires CPS Energy to reassess the STEP program in 2019 to see if continuing the STEP program beyond 2020 is a viable option.  CPS Energy is required

to provide this recommendation to the supervisor of Public Utilities at least six months prior to the end of the program.  The intent is to prepare a report to access the performance of the STEP program and create a forward looking assessment for future program design.

There will be no Pre-Solicitation Meeting.

Response Due Date:

Responses are due no later than January 22, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. (Central). CPS Energy reserves the right to reject late Submittals. The Collective Document contains all pertinent information regarding Responses.
