The main responsibility of the Supervisor, Demand Side Management is to supervise a team of analysts and contractors, overseeing and/or assign duties and guiding them through daily work activities or projects. Monitors employees’ performance to ensure their development and productivity. This role models and ensure adherence to policies, procedures and standards of behaviors.

Job Description

  • Oversees subcontractors for executing and delivering demand response programs and services to meet key customer needs, business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervises and reports on key performance indicators and deliverables related to external contractors and internal direct report teams.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs the performance of daily ongoing activities, special/ad hoc assignments including coordination, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Provides support to the management team decision-making process to ensure that implementation aligns with the company’s strategic goals for actual and future Demand Response Programs.
  • Provides analysis and reporting support for use in developing business strategies and plans; and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information and data provided.
  • Supports change management initiatives that help transform organizational systems and processes related to energy efficiency, demand response and distributed energy resources.
  • Coordinates and collaborates across functional areas within the organization and with external stakeholders to fulfill organizational objectives related to demand response.
  • Provides expertise and advise to other departments, and direct reports regarding compliance with laws, regulations, policies, rules and procedures and the implementation of new systems, technologies, products, or programs.
  • Provides support during analysis and development of material and presentations to senior leadership on behalf of Business Transformation Team.
  • Participates and support in partnership development with key stakeholders and community leaders to create opportunities for new program markets and more effective program design and implementation.
  • Develops systems and processes for accurate data collection, data management and reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Utilizes industry standards, resources, and data to maintain documentation on Demand Response and research.
  • Keeps updated on Demand response and other energy technologies or services and act as a resource for internal and/or external training.
  • Directs, evaluates, assigns responsibilities, to direct reports. Promotes teamwork, a positive work environment, and collaborative problem solving.
  • Manages the preparation, quality control and delivery of analysis, reports, communications, and presentations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Performs major restoration work and associated drills as assigned.
  • Follows all policies and procedures as assigned.
