The main responsibility of the Demand Side Management Manager is to manages daily operations, staff, optimizing workflows, and ensuring teams’ goals are met effectively to support organizational objectives within the department. This role models and ensure adherence to policies, procedures and standards of behaviors. The Manager is accountable for direct and indirect reports’ performance reviews, assessments and development.

  • Manages Luma personnel and energy implementation subcontractors to execute and deliver Demand Side Management (DSM) programs and services to meet key customer needs, business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and manages strategic design, delivery, and reporting of DSM programs to LUMA customers.
  • Works with teams across the department and organization to ensure integrated and cohesive programs that synergize with other customer programs and aligns with the company’s strategic goals for actual and future DSM programs.
  • Drives all relevant program planning exercises including (but not limited to) goal setting, budget planning, market research, evaluation activities, communications, and business case development.
  • Develops and oversees robust structure and process for addressing customer issues, proposing solutions, and managing customer expectations while providing excellent customer service.
  • Shapes team effort on program research and analysis to inform data-driven program design and innovation; stays abreast of developments in the field by engaging with local and national interest organizations.
  • Oversees third party vendor relationships including scope and contract management, budget negotiation, and vendor performance against key performance indicators.
  • Leads partnership development with key stakeholders and community leaders to create opportunities for new program markets and more effective program design and implementation.
  • Provides expertise and advises other departments, and direct reports regarding compliance with laws, regulations, policies, rules and procedures and the implementation of new systems, technologies, products, or programs.
  • Fosters change management initiatives that help transform organizational and program systems and processes including systems for improved data collection, data management and reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Ensures team members are trained on energy efficiency, demand response and others; acts as a resource for internal and/or external training to ensure employee's development.
  • Models and ensures all safety rules are follow.
  • Communicate coherently and effectively, adapting communication styles as needed to get the job done.
